Uniden HR2600 10 meter band
Переглядів 58Рік тому
Uniden HR2600 - 10 meter, 25 watt, transceiver from the early 1990's. Making a few QSO's, monitoring the FT8 frequency, and the 10M beacon sub-band. 10 meters is great on the solar cycle upswing!

NCG 15M monoband radio
Переглядів 3753 роки тому
A 1980's 15 meter monobander made by NCG company. Very scarce and hard to find. The recording was made June 27th, 2021 during the ARRL field day operating event. This radio is 10 watts on high power and 1 watt on low power. Most contacts were made with 10 watts, a few were made with 1 watt- true QRP! Ignore that I said 20 watts in the video- I was wrong- LoL!

This radio can be programed for anothers frequencys?
This video saved my ass. Thank you!
It was the eighth of a Mike track it was close to the airport runway
I have YS-2000 METER. Who can I get to tune it make it accurate again?
Any good R.F. technician could easily do this. There are adjustment potentiometers for all 3 ranges inside of this meter, making it very easy to calibrate.
@Jim19053ElectronicsDude Jim do u know any tech I could send it to the guy I know can't donit right had one there at his shop no go. Thank u sir
Try Paul Harrold. He runs the Keeping the Yaesu Ft101 alive Facebook group. Quite a few technicians are active in that group. @@TerryDiehl-ng6qb
Bonjour, je voudrais brancher mon Micro D104 Astatic sur mon Icom 7300? Je ne sais pas si c’est possible???
I have a R-390 and R-390A that I restored. I run them into SDR too. Fantastic receivers.
What a stunning looking radio - aah, transceiverfront panels aren't what they used to be...😉
Nice video instruction, but you went fast as if experienced people were watching this instead of beginners. Fortunately we can watch it again and again.
Great restoration, and very well produced video too.
Now isn't this WAY better than a boat?
Amazing
Thanks so much for the help !
I have 1😊
I know this is OLD, but am dealing with this now on my '03 coupe. There are 2 stacked 10-pin plugs going into stock HU (C1=black on top, C2=white on bottom), Pin #8 on C1 is for Power Antenna & Amp Relay (looking at back top of C1 plug it is solid green, 3rd from right). I tried this and nada, BUT there was already 12v on that pin, so maybe you do have to put 5v to that pink wire, as posted by MarkCZ on CorvetteForum?
How far do they go in the bay
Perfect radio with perfect video 👍👍👍
Very nice!
Ahh, miss testout😭
As Steven Sanchez would always say- "TestOut is the BEST OUT!!!!"
You can use the Windows Voice recorder to record and play back any audio recorded and play it back over the radio on the air simply by changing the sound input and output to the radio soundcard settings. We check the audio every night. No moving files, no nothing it just works.
WB6SUS Does anyone know what the final model Heath produced at the end of there fine production 73 with rspect
AS far as ham radio goes, I "think" it's the SB1400 transceiver. Same as a Yaesu FT747.
Many thanks!

Heathkit: The electronic hobbyist summit. When Heath shut down, it was all downhill from there
What a thoughtful and well planned video. The fades. The S-Meter. The perfect view on the rig. Very Very well done and APPRECIATED.
I'll add this for those who bought Japan market IC-7300-01 model, as opposed to the IC-7300-02 for USA, in order to take advantage of favorable exchange rates with the Japanese Yen in comparison to the US Dollar. Restoring the IC-7300 to USA version is fairly easy. Remove Diode D420 and D423 (right in the same diode group as in the video). Also D413 will be missing from the Japan market radio. You can add that if you like, or the work around is to use the radio menu to create band edges. Japan market has segmented 160m and 80m. You'll need leave only _one_ edge entry for 160m and 80m then put in the edge numbers. And that's it. I didn't try the "all band" transmit mod with D413 not present in the radio, so can't vouch for that. However, the above described will give US citizenship to the far east radio. Great video, thanks for sharing it.
great video! i've been watching car audio diy videos all week and this was the best one. straight to the point.
Great video. Makes me wish I took my schooling more seriously.
That is one beautiful radio and it sounds great; I hope to get one some day just to display on a shelf somewhere. I read that this version had some problems which were fixed by the later versions.
If you get one, you should use it. They look prettiest with the tubes glowing and the needles moving. ;-) I have an FT101EE which I use as often as possible.
Wow great video, so when the power is generated is converted to ac is that power made available to the electric grid? If so what type of circuit makes up that portion of the grid?
Each panel has an Enphase microinverter feeding power to the grid. enphase.com/installers/microinverters
Very useful Jim, Thanks and thanks to glevideo for his extended comment.
I do love that place
Great video thank you!
Thanks for antenna wire information on better reception!
wen i refuse to update my pc's cooling system (how i got this joke: my pc has a cooling system so loud it out-decibels an average box fan.)
Great video. I was working WFD with a club on their IC7300 yesterday and no one knew how to adjust any of the CW parameters. Going back out today and this is going to help.
I have one of these twin sets. I also have the digital display. The best way to use these is as the 600R being the VFO. No drift after warmup. This has outlasted any of my other radios. I use it only on 75 though. I got mine in a trade back in 1988. I went through a few sets of finals over the years, but I just don't load it to max anymore. It can drive the pants off an L4B. The only problem I have had is that the Notch / Peak filter potted device died. No one has a schmatic either. Not even the people who used to work at Swan.
I worked a 3000 + mile path N. Cal to Kwajelin Island.. using this radio both of us 10 watts and ground plane antennas.. over ocean path of course. Some very serious capability here.
can you tell me what mode you done to this one ? vy 73 great sound
No mods at all. It is hooked up to an 8inch speaker, which does help increase the lower frequency range.
Dude, I can't tell you how many times I refer back to you adjustments. Thank you! KJ7NUX🙂
Great Video! Thanks, you make it look easy!!!
Good video
Very epic video Mr. Crotts, wish i couldve been there to help out
I almost bought that van a few years before this was filmed
I think I saw the Relic crash on this track around this time 4 years ago
I see that Vette and 55 Chevy everywhere
